how to use

HG Shampoo: Use 1-3 pumps based on hair thickness, emulsify in hands for a lather, then massage into scalp and rinse. For a deeper cleanse, repeat.

HG Conditioner: After shampooing, squeeze out excess water and apply a small amount from mid-shaft to ends. Leave in for a few minutes, then rinse thoroughly. For best results, use with HG Shampoo. You may notice an adjustment period where your hair feels oilier than usual as it detoxes from previous products.

Avoid contact with eyes; discontinue if irritation occurs.

"I’ve used the Bondi Boost Anti-Thinning Shampoo & Conditioner Duo twice now, and I’m already loving it! The scent is absolutely amazing, and it leaves my hair smelling fresh long after I wash it. Thicker and healthier hair comes with patience.

"When I started to use this shampoo about a month ago. I found that it was hard to use at first because I guess my hair had so much build up from the different types of products that I used. I thought it was dry and hard to lather up. The conditioner really loosen up the dryness. I use this shampoo every time wash my hair and it really started to make my hair feel heathier. It did feel oiler in the beginning but I kept at it, and just washed my hair every couple of days or a little longer no matter how my hair felt but my hair looked good and styled well. I use a lot less product now and I still blow dry and use a straight iron plus I use a heat protectant only. On the days that I don't wash because it still looks good my hair feels a lot thicker. I have gotten compliments about my hair even my hair dresser commented on how my hair looks. Definitely for me it was a great find."

"I tried it for several weeks and I just don’t care for it. It makes my hair feel thinner which is why I bought it to make my hair feel thicker and stronger. My hair feels dry and you can’t style it. I used the hair mask and it made it so limp. It will make it feel soft but it’s too soft."

Smell Changed

"I've been using the Duo for years and bought a new pack from Sephora when I most recently ran out. I received the package and it smelt AWFUL. I figured they must've changed the formula, so I reached out to BB and they sent me a new one. I received the new one and it still smelt HORRIBLE. It's literally unusable. I know BB says that they didn't change the formula, but something is different with these new bottles. I used to love these and now I truly cannot use them because of the rancid smell."

I really can’t live without this combo

"I started using the HG line in 2021. Loved what it did for my hair over the years. In 2025 I had to take a break due to financial issues and got stuck with drugstore shampoo and conditioner for almost the whole year. I was shedding so much hair even my boyfriend complained he was finding my hair all over him. My hair was dull and just felt so unhealthy. I finally was able to repurchase my beloved Bondi boost hg line once again this year and I’m not kidding you when I say in one wash my hair felt and looked healthier. Now it’s been about 6 weeks since I started using again and I virtually have zero hair shedding. I mean I was loosing big clumps on wash day and now it’s like a strand. Is the HG line safe for pregnancy?: Great question! While there are no ingredients in our HG line that raise any pregnancy-related concerns, and many of our pregnant and postpartum customers love using it, we always recommend double-checking the ingredient list with your doctor to make sure it’s the right fit for you. Your peace of mind is what matters most!
Is this okay to use every day?: Hi there! Thank you for your question. Yes, the HG Shampoo and Conditioner are safe for daily use! That said, we don’t recommend washing your hair every day, as it can strip away natural oils. For best results and healthier hair, 2–3 times a week is ideal.
Is the HG shampoo considered a clarifying shampoo?: Great question! 😊 The HG Shampoo is not considered a clarifying shampoo, but we do have the HG Rinse, which is perfect for a deep cleanse to remove buildup and refresh your scalp. 💙💛
I bought shampoo/conditioner & mask I wash hair 1-2 week but my hair feels dried out fuller but dried & dull what product should I use?: Hi Lou, Many thanks for getting in touch with us. It sounds like you need more moisture and hydration. Dry hair that feels coarse and brittle usually indicates that the protective barrier coating your hair (also known as the hydro-lipid layer), which consists of fatty acids, ceramides, triglycerides, cholesterol and water, has been damaged. Damaged hair tends to tangle more easily than healthy, glossy, shiny hair. This can be caused by styling tools, chemical treatments, using harsh products on your hair, such as sulphate shampoos or high PH levels and drying alcohols (commonly found in most hair products), damage from towel drying or brushing or harsh weather conditions. You may be interested in our Rapid Repair Bond Builder Range, which is formulated with Sunflower Seed Oil, Argan Oil, and Jojoba Oils that are naturally rich in fatty acids to repair the hydrolipid layer of the hair. However, this range is known to be one of our richer formulas, so I would recommend using only a small amount of product to begin with and adjusting the product as necessary.
