The Golden Rules Of Healthy Hair

Hair health. It’s an ‘always on’ kinda deal – while you’ll always find a quick fix (and sometimes, those are pretty great), the truth is that maintaining that mane takes commitment. It comes down to the right choices and a little consistency. We’re all about both of those things at Bondi Boost, so we’ve come up with our golden rules of hair health as a guide for getting (and keeping) your best lengths yet.

Rule 1: Protect

You can apply hair mask after hair mask, but if you aren’t protecting your strands from damage caused by heat styling, environmental aggressors and other destructive external forces, you’ll probably find yourself fighting a losing battle. Always use a heat protective spray before blow drying or using hot tools, like our Heat Protect Spray, which shields strands in heat up to 450F/230C.

It’s also a good idea to switch to healthier heat options. Dial down the temperature on your hair dryer - it might take a little longer, but your strands will thank you. Then, there’s new technology like infrared, which we’ve incorporated into our Infrared Bounce Brush, and ceramic plating, in the attachments for our Everlast Airstyler. These better-for-your-hair heat options cause less damage than traditional heat styling materials, and also reduce frizz and boost shine.

Rule 2: Nourish

No matter what your hair type, it will benefit from nourishment - regularly. But not all nourishment looks the same. For example, those with curly manes will usually see better results from rich moisturisers, while finer hair types need lightweight products that won’t weigh their strands down.

The best thing you can do for your hair is determine the system that is right for it. This may mean picking and choosing between Bondi Boost Systems - the HG Shampoo followed by a Heavenly Hydration Conditioner, or a Rapid Repair Bond Builder+ Shampoo teamed with our Miracle Hair Mask. Consider your hair goals - what do you need to shift in your hair routine to achieve them? Start there, and you can’t go wrong.

If you’re truly lost on what system to create, we recommend a blend of damage repair and hydration. Think of the Rapid Repair Bond Builder+ Trio with a Miracle Hair Mask on the weekend and our Heavenly Hydration Serum for an added moisture boost.

Rule 3: Commit

We live in a world where commitment sometimes feels like a dirty word, but without some hair routine solidarity, you’re never going to see the results you want. Hair shifts require commitment - to routines, to products, and to care. When you stick to your personalised system, you’ll slowly see impressive results. Don’t give up! The hair of your dreams is right around the corner.
